AVPro Edge MX-82RM Overview
The rack-mountable AC-MX-82 8x2 HDMI 4K Matrix/Auto SwitcherĀ from AVPro Edge is a 4K matrix and auto-switch/AVR bypass unit with eight HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs with HDR support. The unit features a bandwidth of up to 18 Gb/s and a resolution up to DCI 4K60. It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HLG, and EDID management. The AC-MX-82 displays signals originating from Blu-ray, UHD Blu-ray, satellite receivers, game consoles, and PC sources on connected displays.
This switcher is suitable for bypassing AVRs and allows you to bypass uncompressed HDMI to the display, while running down-scaled video into a legacy AVR. The auto-switching feature allows you to feed a video signal into video conference coded and provides the option to output both auto-switches together or auto-switch only a single output.
4K up/down scaling technology is managed on each output. This allows you to upscale 1080p sources to 4K (with Image Enhancement), or downscale 4K sources to individual outputs that may not support 4K to 1080p. This switcher has dual-audio de-embedding, allowing you to extract 2-channel audio from the L/R port, and a digital optical TOSLINK output. The switcher supports IR, RS-232, and LAN control options.
