The ATSC-mini HDTV Tuner from Contemporary Research is a versatile, low-profile HDTV tuner designed for use with HD and UHD video projectors and displays in a distributed CATV system. Since not all displays or video projectors can inherently tune TV channels from off-air and cable TV signals, the ATSC-mini provides a full-function HDTV tuner that can receive ATSC and NTSC off-air channels as well as clear QAM and NTSC cable channels via its air/cable RF input. It decodes MPEG-2 and H.264 digital channels and features an HDMI output with selectable resolutions up to 4K. There is also one S/PDIF optical audio output that supports AC-3, PCM, and variable PCM as well as a 3.5mm TRS output for stereo analog output with variable level.

The integrator-friendly ATSC-mini offers 2-way RS-232, IP Telnet, and UDP as well as wireless and wired IR commands. Operate the ATSC-mini via front-panel buttons, the onboard web page, or the supplied custom-designed PC application. For flexibility of installation, two powering options are possibleļæ½PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) or the included switching power supply.
