Erica Synths Black 3109 Overview
Modular synthesizer enthusiasts looking to recreate the legendary sounds of the Roland Jupiter, Juno, and SH-101 will be impressed with the erica synths Black 3109 VCF/VCA, a Eurorack module that is built around the AS3109 VCF integrated circuit, a contemporary of the original IR3109 used in vintage Roland synthesizers.
The original IR3109 had some drawbacks, which were addressed in the new design, such as a volume drop compensation circuit when using resonance as well as a built-in VCA for more versatility in compact setups. Additionally, 1V/oct tuning is implemented, so you can use this module for perfect VCF keyboard tracking and also as a VCO. The module includes a power ribbon cable and a set of mounting screws.
