The 3-Port FireWire 800/400 (1394b/a) PCIe Card Adapter from StarTech lets you add two native FireWire 800 ports and one FireWire 400 port to your computer through a PCIe expansion slot. The adapter can be installed in a PCIe slot to add two 9-pin FireWire 800 (IEEE 1394b ) ports and one 6-pin FireWire 400 port (IEEE 1394a ), providing broad compatibility with a wide range of FireWire devices like DV camcorders, external hard drives, digital cameras, and more. The card adapter features a native (single chip) PCIe chipset.
Lets you add three FireWire ports to a standard or small form factor (SFF) computer with support for high-powered FireWire devices
Includes two 9-pin FireWire 800 ports (IEEE 1394b), each with transfer rates of up to 800 Mb/s and one 6-pin FireWire 400 port (IEEE 1394a) with transfer rates of up to 400 Mb/s
Utilizes a native PCIe chipset design rather than a bridge chip, ensuring a fast, reliable, and cost-effective FireWire expansion
Compliant with IEEE 1394b and is backwards compatible with IEEE 1394a - 2000 as well as 1394-1995 standards
